Kateh ( White rice ) ( 3 servings )

Ingredients:
- Basmati rice 3 cups
- Salt 1/2 spoon
- Oil 4 spoons
- Saffron (optional)

 

 

White Rice recipe
Wash rice with water and drain the water. Pour rice into non-stick pan. Add five cups of water to the pan, also add oil and salt. Mix them well, then bring the water to boil over high heat until water level sinks to just below the rice level. Then cover the pan and cook over very low heat for about 30 minutes.If you like to use saffron, add 1/4 cup of hot water into the saffron and mix it well. then add 3-4 spoon of cooked rice into it and stir.When you serve the rice, decorate it by adding saffron on top of it.
