Tahchine Morgh ( 3-4 servings)

Ingredients:
- Chicken breast 800g
- Barberries 100gr
- Saffron ½ teaspoon
- Rice 250gr
- Onion 1 small
- Egg 3
- Yogurt 3-4 spoon
- Oil 2 spoon
- Salt, black pepper, turmeric

 

Tahchine Morgh

Pour 2-3 glass of water into a pot. Peel onion and add it to the pot, also add the chicken breast. Let simmer for 1 hour. Then take chicken from the pot and cut it into small pieces. Pour 2 spoon of oil into a pan add the chicken, salt, black pepper, turmeric. Fry for about 10 minutes.
Wash barberries and set them aside. Cook rice as in Kateh Recipe. Pour saffron in a small bowl, pour ¼ cup hot water. Mix eggs in a bowl, add yogurt, saffron and 1/3 of cooked rice. Mix them well. Pour 2 spoon of oil into a pan. Pour the egg mixture to pan, add chicken, and barberries on top of it then add the remaining white rice on top of chicken. Cover the pan and let it cook over very low heat for 20 minutes, but at first cook it over high heat for 5 minutes then reduce the heat.
